Who we are
Dack BMW is a trading name of Dack Service Ltd, Lincoln Fields Business Park, Whisby Road, Lincoln LN6 3QW. We are the data controller for the personal information collected through this website. Dack Service Ltdis registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (registration ZA282598). What we collect, and why
When you send a quote request or join the Service Club, we collect the details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, vehicle registration and anything you tell us about your car. We use these to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes, administer Service Club membership, book work in, and keep records of the work we do on your vehicle.
We may look up your vehicle's details (make, model, MOT and service data) from its registration to prepare an accurate quote.
Our lawful basis
We process your information to take steps you've asked for before entering a contract (responding to your enquiry, quoting, booking), to perform that contract (carrying out and recording work), and under our legitimate interest in running and improving our business. Where we send service reminders or club updates, you can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the business — such as our website host, email provider and booking system — and with BMW's service-history systems when we record work against your vehicle, as any BMW workshop does.
How long we keep it
Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. Records of work on your vehicle, invoices and membership records are kept for as long as legal and accounting obligations require.
Cookies
This website doesn't set advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics in future, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict its use. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
